What you write to the Oracle

When you pick a category or type a message, the text is sent from your browser to our server and on to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the reply. Anthropic processes it under its own terms and privacy policy. Stoava does not ask for your name or an account, and our code does not store your messages in a database. Please do not include names, addresses, or other details that identify you or other people.

Your email address

If you join the Morning Stoa, your email address is sent to Formspree, our form processor, and used only to send you the reflection. Ask us to remove it at any time and we will.

Data kept in your browser

Your daily consultation count, session count and a subscription flag are saved in your browser local storage. They never leave your device and you can clear them in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to count page visits. It does not use advertising cookies and does not profile you.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission). Write to the address above.

AI and limits

Replies are generated by an AI model, not a person. Stoava offers philosophy, not therapy, medical advice or crisis support. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
