STOAVA

Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 October 2026. Questions: emotional_support@stoava.com.

By using Stoava (www.stoava.com) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What Stoava is

Stoava is a website that gives short reflections in the style of the ancient Stoic philosophers, with quotations from public-domain texts and a small practical exercise. The reflections are written by an AI model, not by a person. Stoava is operated from Ireland.

What Stoava is not

Stoava offers philosophy. It is not therapy, counselling, coaching, medical advice, legal or financial advice, or crisis support, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis or think you may harm yourself or someone else, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services straight away. AI replies can be wrong or unsuitable for your situation; please use your own judgment.

Using the site

You can use the free Oracle without an account, within the daily limits shown on the site. A free account lets you save your path and sign in on other devices. You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Please do not misuse the service: do not try to break it, overload it, scrape it, resell it, or use it to produce unlawful, hateful or abusive content. We may limit or end access for misuse.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in email secure. Please do not put names, addresses or other details that identify you or other people into the Oracle (see our privacy page for how your data is handled).

The Philosopher membership

The Philosopher membership is an optional paid subscription. At the time of writing it costs 8 euro per month and includes up to 30 Oracle consultations a day, memory across sessions, a weekly pattern note, a private encrypted journal with export, and an optional daily email. The price and features shown at checkout when you subscribe are the ones that apply to you.

Your content

What you write to the Oracle or in your journal belongs to you. You give us permission to process it only so that we can run the service for you, for example to send your message to our AI provider to write a reply, to keep your journal, or to write your weekly note. Your journal is encrypted before it is stored and is not used by the Oracle or for your weekly note. The privacy page explains this in detail.

Our content

The site, its design and its original text belong to Stoava. Quotations from ancient texts are drawn from public-domain translations. You may use the replies you receive for your own personal use.

No guarantees, and limits on liability

We work to keep Stoava available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions, or that a reply will be right for you. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be limited, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to your membership, we will tell you before it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protection rights of the country where you live.
